ITEC 7430- Thing 12 Exploring online tools
For my first grade students, I like www.blabberize.com. I think that this would be a great way for the students to express themselves. My class was outside playing one day and I decided to take pictures of them. We later were focusing narrative writings so I decided to show my students the picture and I asked them to write a quick narrative describing what they were doing. Blabberize would give them the opportunity to add their voice to their one individual image and talk about what they are doing. I think that this would engage the students very much and I think that they would get a kick out of hearing and seeing themselves speak on the picture.

I would love to see the final product if you actually get it to work. I too thought this was a great tool for 1st grade. It could be an alternative way of presenting their informational reports on animals. They could write the paper. then you could teach about writing in 1st person as they would slightly change the paper as if the animal were reading it. Then find a picture of the animal and "Blabberize" to teach about the animal. I can see 1st graders really getting into this type of project.
