ITEC7445 HTML codes and Web making

I absolutely loved class on Thursday. I loved learning about html codes and building a website. The thought that I could designed my own web page sounds awesome. I enjoyed going into notepad and typing in the code myself and seeing my results after several times of saving then refreshing the site. It was a lot of fun, however after sampling Seamonkey and the whole WYSIWYG thing, I think that I would much rather use that for site building. I had no idea that my school webpage needed to be updated. I am wondering how the site is set up and I would be interested in getting involved and contributing to the webpage for my school especially after reading and learning and observing other classmates schools sites. Maybe if I get involved I can show you some changes and updates that I contribute.
ON A SIDE NOTE: Each grade level at my school is suppose to be getting another Activboard. I hope I will be getting one so that I can try out some of the things we are learning in class

  1. Correna,

Please go ahead and get involved in your school's website editing! I know what you learn from 7445 will be very helpful. Keeping a website/blog updated is one thing, keeping it attractive and viewer friendly is another. I know you can do both!!

  2. I bet your school will be thrilled to have you working on the webpage! I bet once you get involved with changing it, there will be so much you'll want to tweak and mess around with. I agree with the creation aspect of HTML, that you type in some code and in a browser, all sorts of things happen! I am not certain what I'll use for my portfolio yet... but code has it's fun points.

  3. I am glad you enjoyed The HTML coding we did in class, it was fun but not enoug for me to give up my WYSIWYG and I see you will use it too. So what do you think of SEA MONKEY now that you have had time to check it out? I like Weebly.com too, so I need to compare apples to oranges. Will you have some choices in the upgrading the school's web pages?
